  • Monoprints and individual prints

  • An exciting exhibit of collages containing elements of etchings and monoprints created by Leo Ray.  Ray integrates "torn" segments of etchings, mainly black, and surrounds them with a colorful, rich world which he creates.  Each print is individual and distinctive, entirely different from the others.

  • Miniatures and other prints, Hanna Farah, Kufr Bir'im

  • Farah has chosen amplification in a small, almost tiny format.  Using stylus and  brush, he touches the plates, casting likenesses and a series of activities burned into the copper plates leaving marks. Farah rebuilds Kufr Bir'im, where his forefathers were born – although he himself never lived there – both as slivers of memories and dreams, and as an explicit and feasible proposal of return

  • Large-size etchings, various artists

  • Large etchings by Sigalit Landau, Zadok Ben-David, Yigal Ozeri and Erez Israeli are exhibited on the walls. Printing such etchings is enabled by the large press in the Gottesman Etching Center – one of the largest in the world

  • The upper gallery contains a selection of prints

  • by artists working in the Center, especially recently.  The works range from small to large, color and monochrome, the product of complex techniques as well as traditional methods

  • Howard Hodgkin at the Gottesman Etching Center

  • Sir Howard Hodgkin, 76, one of the most eminent of British artists, chose the song "As Time Goes By" (1931) from the film Casablanca (1942) as the title of a monumental work – an etching measuring 244 X 610 cm.  Possibly the largest etching ever printed anywhere, it was produced and distributed exclusively by the Alan Crestea Gallery in London in an edition of 7 prints.

We are proud to exhibit one of the prints, and we invite the public to enjoy this exceptional work.
